Service Description

If something is not working properly or you're experiencing an unexpected interruption to one of our services, you're in the right place and we'll do our best to help get you back up and running.

The Client Support organization provides computing support services to academic and administrative departments, faculty, staff, and students. In-person and telephone support is provided by our staff of dedicated student employees in the Mines Service Center (MSC) located in the CTLM Computer Commons. Office visits and advanced support for desktop and workstation computers, peripherals and some services are provided by our full-time technical specialists. Support for enterprise-wide services such as network, email, web, Canvas, and other network-based applications is provided by other groups within ITS.

Visit the Technology Support Center in the ITS Computer Commons (CTLM 156) for fast, on-the-spot, in-person help with simple computing issues like software installation, network connectivity, or account access.

Service Levels

During busy times, work is prioritized in such a manner as to minimize overall wait times.

Requirements

In most cases, you'll need to be on campus to receive support. If you are off-campus and need assistance, you may call our support line: 303.384.2345 or submit a ticket here at Mines Help Center. If the device you're seeking help with is able to connect to the network, remote support may be an option.

If you are working with one of our support professionals remotely, you may be asked to download one of these remote maintenance host applications. Once installed, our support professional will join your active session and provide support in the most efficient way possible. You will see what they are doing and should be in telephone contact while this activity is in progress.
